What we looked at while writing the statute

An association cannot do anything its statute does not allow, so we took our time with the draft. We read the statutes of many associations and foundations working in technology, IT, AI, education and youth, and looked at which articles work in practice and which stay on paper.

We took three things from that reading. First, how a scholarship programme should work: a committee selects the students, donors take no part in selection, and relatives of board members are not eligible. Second, the idea of technology teams: young people preparing for competitions as teams, supported with materials and mentors. Third, the option to hold meetings online. Part of our team is in Ankara and part in London, so this is a practical need for us.

Some things we deliberately left out. We will not open branches. We are not creating any governing bodies beyond those required by law; committees and the advisory board are not governing bodies and will work under the board. We also wrote plainly that we will not run election polls and will do no work involving weapons, munitions or military equipment.

The draft has 39 articles and one transitional article. We will file the founding notification in Ankara in November 2026 and share the final statute here on that day.
